What is IIM Bangalore's PGSEM?

The Post Graduate Program in Software Enterprise Management is being offered by IIM, Bangalore simultaneously in Bangalore and Chennai. This course which was started in 1998 has been developed in association with the IT industry and is aimed at Software professionals who are looking to become entrepreneurs or managers in the software and IT industry.

The program is open to those with at least 2 years but preferably 4 years of experience in the IT and software industry. The students will emerge with a diploma at the end of two and a half years while continuing to work. The classes for this program are conducted at Bangalore and at Chennai on Fridays and Saturdays. The classes are conducted in a synchronous manner with the faculty being present only in one classroom while the other classroom has a two-way live audio and video feed.

The selection will be based on CAT / GMAT / PGSEM Test scores followed by a personal interview.

Study Material & Tests for PGSEM Test

The PGSEM (Post Graduate in Software Enterprise Management) test conducted by IIM Bangalore for admission to its PGSEM program is similar to the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs for their flagship PGP programs.

The correspondence course study material that 2IIM offers for PGSEM provides comprehensive study material prepared by the alumni of the IIMs and is self explanatory. The course material covers all the basic areas that are tested in the PGSEM Entrance Test - viz., Quantitative reasoning, Verbal reasoning, Reading comprehension and Data Interpretation. The preparatory material also includes 10 full length CAT practice tests with answers and explanation.

The fees for the test preparation course is Rs.3000 (Rupees Three Thousand Only). You can sign up online for the program.
